Touring professional turned coach. Two-time Vancouver Open champion, three-time BC PGA Pro-Assistant champion, and the first player ever to shoot 59 in a PGA of BC event.

Steven Lecuyer is a PGA of Canada professional who joined Seymour Creek Golf Centre after spending many years as a touring professional.
A native of Edmonton, Steven played four years of collegiate golf for the University of Central Arkansas before turning professional in 2012. He graduated with a B.B.A. in Finance, leaving college with 24 top-10 finishes and a runner-up showing at the Southland Conference Championship.
Over the following decade he competed across North America and abroad — on PGA Tour Canada, South Africa's Sunshine Tour and beyond — building a wealth of knowledge from years of playing and training alongside many of golf's leading instructors.
Today he brings that experience to the lesson tee as the lead junior instructor at Seymour Creek. With an easy-going attitude and a playful approach, he gives students a clear understanding of the game — and makes sure they have fun all the while.

The approach
Still competing.
Always coaching.
A decade on tour, distilled into lessons you can take to the course the very next round.
From a four-year college letterman to a record-setting professional — more than a decade of competitive golf, building to a round nobody had ever shot.

Finishes inside the top 30 at Canadian Tour Qualifying School to earn his playing card, then turns professional in June. His first professional win follows soon after, in Texas.
Competes across North America and internationally — on PGA Tour Canada, South Africa's Sunshine Tour and the Adams Tour — sharpening his game against the best in the region.
Wins the Johnston Meier Vancouver Open at 11-under par, with rounds of 66, 69 and 68, claiming the $10,000 first-place professional purse.
Captures the Vancouver Open a second time, becoming just the second multiple winner in the event's storied history.
Wins on the Vancouver Golf Tour at Northview G&CC, posting rounds of 69 and 68 with just a single bogey across the two days.
Wins a third straight BC PGA Pro-Assistant Championship. Steven opens with a 13-under 59 on his own ball — the first 59 ever recorded in a PGA of BC event.
From junior clinics to one-on-one lessons — and a competitive game he still takes to the VGT and PGA of Canada.

Two-time Vancouver Open champion

At the 2025 G&G Brands & Callaway Golf Pro-Assistant Championship in Vernon, Steven did something no PGA of BC member had ever done. On a course he had never played — having flown in that very morning — he carded ten birdies and two eagles for a 13-under 59.
“There was a putt I hit on 1 that I couldn't believe went in. Some would say it was a miracle.”— Steven Lecuyer
